At DateDash, our mission is to help people build genuine connections through shared interests in a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. These Community Guidelines explain the standards we expect every member of our community to follow.
By using DateDash, you agree to follow these Guidelines in addition to our Terms of Service.
Our Community Values
We encourage every user to:
- Be respectful and considerate.
- Be authentic and honest.
- Celebrate diverse opinions and backgrounds.
- Protect your own privacy and respect the privacy of others.
- Help create a positive and inclusive community.
Everyone deserves to feel safe while using DateDash.
Respect Other Members
Treat every user with kindness and respect.
Healthy conversations, disagreements, and different viewpoints are welcome, but personal attacks, intimidation, or abusive behaviour are not.
If another user is not interested in interacting with you, respect their decision and move on.
Be Authentic
DateDash is built on genuine connections. You should:
- Use accurate account information.
- Represent yourself honestly.
- Share authentic content.
- Interact with others in good faith.
Do not impersonate another person, organization, or public figure.
Prohibited Behaviour
The following behaviour is not permitted on DateDash.
Harassment and Bullying
Do not:
- Send abusive or threatening messages.
- Intimidate or stalk another user.
- Repeatedly contact someone who has declined or ignored your messages.
- Encourage others to harass someone.
- Engage in targeted bullying or public shaming.
Hate Speech and Discrimination
Content or behaviour that promotes hatred or discrimination based on protected characteristics is strictly prohibited. This includes attacks relating to:
- Race
- Religion
- Nationality
- Ethnicity
- Gender
- Gender identity
- Sexual orientation
- Disability
- Age
- Caste or similar protected characteristics
We have zero tolerance for hateful conduct.
Sexual or Explicit Content
Do not post, send, or request:
- Explicit sexual images or videos.
- Non-consensual intimate content.
- Graphic sexual content.
- Sexually exploitative material.
- Unwanted sexual advances.
Sharing explicit content without the recipient’s consent may result in immediate account suspension or permanent removal.
Fake Profiles and Impersonation
Creating misleading accounts is prohibited. This includes:
- Pretending to be someone else.
- Using another person’s photos without permission.
- Creating accounts to deceive users.
- Creating multiple accounts to evade enforcement actions.
Spam and Manipulation
You may not use DateDash to:
- Send unsolicited promotional messages.
- Repeatedly post identical content.
- Artificially manipulate engagement.
- Mislead users with scams or fraudulent offers.
- Promote malicious links or phishing attempts.
Illegal or Harmful Content
You must not post or promote content involving:
- Criminal activity.
- Violence or threats of violence.
- Terrorist or extremist content.
- Child exploitation.
- Human trafficking.
- Illegal goods or services.
- Self-harm promotion.
- Animal cruelty.
Such content will be removed immediately and may be reported to relevant authorities where required.
Privacy Violations
Respect the privacy of every member. Do not:
- Share another person’s personal information without permission.
- Attempt to identify anonymous users.
- Record, publish, or distribute private conversations without consent.
- Collect or scrape user information.
Protecting anonymity is one of DateDash’s core principles.
Predatory Behaviour
Any attempt to manipulate, exploit, pressure, or coerce another user is prohibited. This includes:
- Grooming.
- Emotional manipulation.
- Financial scams.
- Blackmail.
- Catfishing.
- Coercive behaviour.
- Exploitation of vulnerable individuals.
We take these violations extremely seriously.
Protect Yourself
For your own safety, we encourage you to:
- Never share passwords or verification codes.
- Avoid sharing sensitive financial or personal information.
- Meet new people in public places if you choose to meet offline.
- Trust your instincts.
- Report suspicious behaviour immediately.
Reporting Violations
If you believe someone has violated these Community Guidelines, please report them.
Report In-App
You can report:
- Posts
- Profiles
- Comments
- Messages
Simply tap the Report option available within the app and provide as much detail as possible.
Report by Email
For urgent safety concerns or complex issues, contact our Safety Team at support@datedash.co.
Please include:
- Your username
- The reported user’s username (if known)
- A description of the incident
- Screenshots or supporting evidence, where available
Enforcement
We review reports carefully and take action based on the severity and frequency of violations.
Level 1: Warning
For minor or first-time violations, we may:
- Issue a formal warning.
- Remove violating content.
- Temporarily restrict certain features.
- Educate the user about our policies.
Level 2: Temporary Suspension
For repeated violations or more serious misconduct, we may:
- Suspend the account for a period determined by the severity of the violation.
- Restrict access to specific platform features.
- Require additional verification before restoring access.
Users may appeal eligible suspensions through our support process.
Level 3: Permanent Removal
Accounts may be permanently removed for serious violations, including but not limited to:
- Threats of violence.
- Predatory behaviour.
- Child exploitation.
- Repeated harassment.
- Hate speech.
- Fraud or impersonation.
- Sharing explicit content without consent.
- Repeated violations following previous enforcement actions.
Certain severe violations may result in immediate and permanent account termination without prior warning.
Our Moderation Process
DateDash uses a combination of user reports, automated safety systems, and human review to identify content or behaviour that violates these Guidelines.
Moderation decisions are made based on available evidence and the severity of the reported conduct.
Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes to our platform, legal requirements, or community needs.
Material updates will be communicated through appropriate channels before they take effect.
